Umar Niazi
Postdoctoral Associate
Dr. Umar Niazi is a postdoctoral associate at MIT’s Laboratory for Information & Decision Systems. His research interests are in incentive design for eco-driving and eco-routing in transportation networks. Prior to this, he was a postdoctoral fellow at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He obtained his Ph.D. (2021) in Automation and Control Engineering from the University of Grenoble Alpes, France, and M.S. (2017) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University, Turkey. He is a Marie-Curie Fellow (2022-2025) and was a finalist for the Best Student Paper Award in European Control Conference 2019.
