Taylor Elise Baum

Graduate Student

Taylor Baum is a controls and signal processing engineer, broadly interested in building physiological closed loop control systems and understanding systems level physiological processes. She focuses on the cardiovascular system in her current work, emphasizing closed loop control of blood pressure in the operating room. Her work with the Munther Dahleh Research Group focuses specifically on methods development for robust and adaptive control as applied to the cardiovascular system. At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, she is a third year Electrical Engineering and Computer Science PhD candidate. She got both a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. degree in Biology with a Neuroscience Emphasis at the Pennsylvania State University.
